Walk in Bangsar 1: No Parking

I decided to walk along this affluent neighbourhood, once a popular clubbing street. It is also famous for double parking due to lack of space (no wonder I seldom come here). I just saw a car being towed again this evening... What is the logic? Why are the authorities taking action against the public when they are not offering a better solution?
Nowadays I notice one of the Mamak restaurants simply overcharging customers. Today I had some varuval chicken and just added a pinch of vegetable, when the trigger happy waiter simply charged me RM1 for it, until I questioned him. Then he reduced it to 50 sen.
These over eager foreign waiters armed with pen and paper walk from table to table, simply scrawling the prices gleefully behind your back, and slip under your plate and then walk away. All these are signs of changing times where restaurants charge you for plain water. In the near future, it is possible that people may not be able to enjoy a meal below RM10. Time to learn cooking.
